World's Best Ketchup

Heinz Organic Ketchup

Unfortunately, the "World's Best Ketchup" must not have been the "best" after all...they are no longer in business. So, the last we checked we're back to Hunt's ketchup as the best. Heinz's organic ketchup was said to be number 2.

Perhaps the price for "The Worlds Best", at $3.95 for a 7 ounce jar, was a bit too steep for consumers.

This ketchup was made from fresh tomato paste and herbs, sweetened with maple syrup and had one-third the sugar and one-fourth the sodium of other brands.

The "World's Best Ketchup" was available in:

  • Tomato
  • Sweet
  • Garlic
  • Basil
  • Onion
  • Dill

A ten-ounce jar is was available in most gourmet stores or by telephone.

Heinz Organic Ketchup

Heinz Organic Ketchup has been around since 2002. They were the first to come out with a nationally branded organic ketchup.

Heinz Organic Ketchup, certified as organic according to the United States Department of Agriculture standards, is made from vine-ripened tomatoes that are 100 percent certified organic, as well as other certified organic and natural ingredients such as organic sugar, spices and onion powder.

Ketchup Cooking Suggestion

When you've finished a bottle of ketchup, make use of the residue; add a little water or vinegar and shake, then use the liquid to enliven soups, stews, or salad dressings.
